Paper Flowers In Water

We decided to make our own paper flowers. My daughter explored her creative side and coloured all sorts of pretty patterns. Meanwhile little brother enjoyed cutting more than colouring.

She then cut all the flowers and I helped to cut each petal carefully right to the centre. Next we folded the petals up and inwards, like a closed flower blossom.

The time for our fun experiment arrived, so out came the container of water . My children watched in awe how the closed flowers quickly opened their petals as soon as they came into contact with the water.

We made three large ones, but I think the more flowers one has, the longer the fun will last. If our boys would rather like to make sea monsters with the arms like petals that could be cool too!

Have fun, feel inspired and unlock your inner child!
